Justin Bieber Will Receive the MTV Voices Award
The EMA isn’t just about glitz and glamour—with the whole world watching, it’s also a great occasion to bring attention to people who are making a difference. That’s why it’s the perfect event to celebrate the launch of the new MTV Voices initiative, an online platform highlighting inspiring, socially positive people and projects around the world.
This year at a special pre-EMA event, MTV will honour Justin Bieber with the first-ever MTV Voices Award, recognizing his launch of the Believe Charity Drive—an initiative to rally fans to raise millions of dollars for charities worldwide. Justin has also given his time and energy to the Make A Wish Foundation and the Pencils With Promise initiative, which helps to build schools for children who do not have access to education.
Every year, MTV Voices will also recognize an organisation in the EMA host city with a positive mission. This year’s recipient is the local youth organisation Northern Ireland Youth Forum (NIYF), dedicated to getting young people involved in important issues and helping them use their voices to make an impact.
Congratulations to Justin Bieber and to NIYF—and thanks for inspiring others and helping make the world a better place!
